Emily Francis Trio

Original prog-jazz from an intense and immersive trio with influences as varied as FORQ, Porcupine Tree and Brad Mehldau

It has been a busy year for keyboard and synth ace Emily Francis, with the 10th anniversary re-release of her trio’s debut album The Absent, a new EP Atomic released in May and touring with this trio and The Toyah and Robert Fripp show, including a performance at the Fields of Avalon stage at Glastonbury.

Her textured, playful and energetic compositions with collaborator and bassist Trevor Boxall are really brought to life with the irrepressible Jamie ‘Drum Cat’ Murray on drums.

Their second album Luma, inspired in no small measure by David Bowie’s Black Star band, was described as “a thing of rare beauty” by Nick Hasted in Jazzwise Magazine.

This all-original music will appeal to fans of prog-rock, electronica and melodic jazz fusion and anyone looking to find something new and different.
